Building plans are accepted at the Community Development Division offices in Globe (745 N Rose Mofford Way) or Payson (608 E Hwy 260). Submit two sets of plans that meet the design criteria, including two site plans. Plan review takes about 15 working days for the first review, and the county notes an additional 5 days of administrative review may apply. Once plans are approved, purchase the building permit; inspections are scheduled as listed when the permit is issued. Permits from other departments, such as wastewater or floodplain, may be needed before a building permit can be issued. Call either office for electrical, plumbing and mechanical permits.
