The Zoning Regulations (Sec. 403(b)) waive permit fees on changes, repairs or improvements valued under $10,000, so ask the county whether the $45 applies to a smaller job. The county also offers online permitting through its SmartGov portal. The office is in the Engineer's Office on the 2nd floor of the Annex at 253 Fifth Street, Clifton; call (928) 865-4762 before visiting. Manufactured home and septic system permits are issued by the county Health Department.
