PermitFees.org Now Covers 197 Florida Jurisdictions Across 28 Counties

When we published our first two posts on August 20, PermitFees.org covered 81 Florida jurisdictions. As of today it covers 250 across 44 counties, each with its building, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and roofing permit fees taken from the official adopted schedule, cited, and dated. Here is what landed and what it means for anyone pricing a job in Florida.

South Florida

The largest additions are Broward County and Miami-Dade County, which together account for 39 covered jurisdictions, including Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Pembroke Pines, Coral Springs, Miami, Hialeah, Miami Beach, and Coral Gables. We moved both counties to the front of the queue after search data showed people looking for Broward and Miami-Dade permit fees before we had them. South Florida schedules are also where percent-of-value pricing runs highest, so the county pages are worth a look before bidding.

The Gulf coast and the Panhandle

Pinellas, Lee, Manatee, Pasco, Collier, Citrus, Hernando, and Sumter counties are now covered on the Gulf side, and Okaloosa and Bay in the Panhandle. Several of these towns delegate permitting to their county under an interlocal agreement; where that is the case, the town's page says so and shows the county's schedule, since that is what the applicant pays.

North and central Florida

Alachua, Marion, Clay, St. Johns, St. Lucie, Leon, and Martin round out the new counties, bringing Gainesville-area, Ocala, Tallahassee, and Treasure Coast schedules alongside the Orlando, Tampa Bay, Jacksonville, Volusia, Brevard, Polk, and Lake coverage we started with.

HB 803 on the ground

Of the 250 live schedules, 39 were adopted or re-verified on or after July 1, 2026 with the adoption evidence on record; those pages carry an HB 803 marker in their source block. The rest predate the law and may be superseded, which is why every page shows a last-verified date and we re-check every source weekly. Three jurisdictions currently carry a temporary fee notice: Bay County's building-fee discount, Crestview's standing reduction, and Daytona Beach's waiver, each shown on its page with a link to the official notice. What else changed

The Florida page now shows a fee range for every covered county side by side, so you can see how a building permit for the same remodel prices across the state before opening a county. Page titles now say what the page is, permit fees and a calculator for that place, and every page loads considerably faster than it did in August.
