Cape Canaveral takes building and trade permit applications online through the BS&A Online portal, where you can also pay fees and schedule inspections. First-time users must request a PIN before the portal will let them apply, so contact the permitting office at buildingforms@capecanaveral.gov to get one. Contractors and homeowners register separately, and the city publishes a step-by-step how-to guide for each. Application forms are posted on the city forms page. You can also submit in person or by mail at the Building Division counter in City Hall at 100 Polk Avenue. Send permit questions to permits@capecanaveral.gov. The city charges a non-refundable $35.00 application processing fee that must be paid before review begins, and on jobs valued over $1,000.00 that require plans, a plan checking fee equal to half the permit fee is also due before review. Inspections are requested through the same BS&A portal using the city's online inspection request form, or by calling the Building Division.
