Download the Building-Manufactured Home Permit application packet from the Town's Forms and Documents page and complete its checklist: proof of ownership, a basic floor plan and plot plan, a septic inspection (or a TCEQ septic permit), a certificate of elevation and a floodplain permit.
Turn the packet in to the Town Secretary at Town Hall, 195 N. Texas Ave., by the second Monday of the month. Town Council approves permits at its monthly meeting, except manufactured homes less than 5 years old.
Plumbing work on new construction or a major repair needs a Town plumbing permit; a licensed plumber does the work and the applicant hires a licensed plumbing inspector, who files a completion form with the Town (Code 150.27).
Applications are paper forms: download them from the Town's website or ask Town Hall for a copy. Call Town Hall at 979-849-1136 with questions.
