Mexico Beach, FL Permit Fees (2026)
Building permit fees and building, electrical, plumbing, mechanical/HVAC, and roofing permit fees for Mexico Beach, straight from the official fee schedule, with a free permit fee calculator below.
Building permit estimates include the City's development order fee ($75 for remodels and accessory structures, $200 per unit for a new home, and $2,730 in consultant review fees for new commercial buildings and commercial accessory structures, $1,850 outside the floodplain); ask EPCI whether it is billed with the permit. Electrical, plumbing and mechanical permits are $0.70 per $1,000 of total valuation with a $75 minimum, so most trade jobs pay the minimum; EPCI has not confirmed whether that valuation is the trade contract or the whole project.
In Mexico Beach, a building permit for a $50,000 remodel runs $457.50 in permit fees, a $20,000 re-roof $79.00, a $10,000 HVAC change-out $79.00, a $10,000 electrical panel upgrade or rewire $79.00, and a $10,000 whole-house repipe $79.00. Totals include the documented surcharges and minimum fees. Each figure is that single permit only: a job that combines trades, like a kitchen remodel with electrical and plumbing work, pays each applicable permit.
