How to Apply for a Permit in Weston Lakes

The City of Weston Lakes issues one construction permit, the Development Permit/Flood Plain Permit, which it requires for all structures and buildings built in the city. Submit the permit application with a site plan and a survey plat showing where the building sits on the lot, in person at City Hall, 8045 FM 359, Suite 200, Fulshear, on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11 AM to 5 PM, or by email to citysec@westonlakestexas.gov. There is no online permit portal. Work in or near the flood zone also needs a pre-construction elevation certificate, and a post-construction elevation certificate once the structure is complete. The City's Flood Plain Administrator reviews each application, so allow time for review. Inside the gated Weston Lakes community the Architectural Control Committee must also approve the work; the city permit is issued first. The permit fee is collected when the permit is issued, and construction may not begin until then.
